22nd birthday gifts; a large glass for the birthday girl; homemade roast from scratch

some spiky new pals for my windowsill; finally got my hands on Taint magazine; piecing my room together bit by bit

Somehow it's October and I've nearly been living in my new place for 2 months. My 22nd birthday came and went, and I ate ridiculous amounts of food and spent time with my favourite people and tried not to feel too old. I've also been buying bits and pieces to decorate my house slowly and it's all coming together a bit more every week. Graduate life has been a definite adjustment, it has its ups and downs, but as long as no one asks me about my future or my career plans I should be okay. I'm looking forward to the next few months. I love everything about Autumn and all of the exciting things coming up like Halloween and Bonfire Night and, of course, Christmas and New Year. I can't wait.

The Beautiful Word @ The Bicycle Shop; exploring new watering holes; chip shop dinner
post-work bar crawl; a graduation gift from my sister; new house keys

I've been settling into my new routine of working 9-5 and trying to adjust to graduate life. Thus far, this has involved trying out new pubs beyond my old haunts in the student union, seeing some live music (check out The Beautiful Word - they're really fab), and sorting out a new grad pad. I finally got the keys to my new house this week. Roll on the next few paydays so I can start decorating and putting up some home decor posts for you all. I'm so excited, and only slightly terrified. I suddenly feel very adult. Or at least like someone pretending to be an adult.

pulled pork sandwiches; finally found my graduation dress; goodbye meal with the housemates
new summer sandals; a quick break in Cornwall; early evening beach strolls
eggs for breakfast every day; sunny days in the plantation gardens; picnic treats

The last few weeks have been really lovely. While it's been sad to know that uni really is coming to an end and everyone is going their separate ways, I've had so many days out with friends. Eating good food, dancing until the early hours, even a little trip to Newquay (that was cut short by a job interview). It's been a great way to spend the last couple of weeks of my undergraduate years. Now I'm off to see some family in the States and popping to Berlin for a quick city break with my friend Bridie, then I'm graduating. Part of me is tempted to blog about graduate life a bit. Perhaps on here or on another blog. But I think it will certainly be an interesting ride.

late nights in the library; all black everything; getting ready for evening out
ready for a night out on the town; lunchtime cocktails; hot baths and Black Books

December has been an odd mixture of end of semester excursions and festivities with uni friends, general Christmas preparation, and toiling over essays and my dissertation. Trying to strike a balance hasn't always been the easiest thing but I'm doing my best. Currently I'm back at my mum's for a week or so to celebrate Christmas with family, eat a lot of food, and generally be merry. Then I'll be back and forth between hiding myself away in the library to work all day, and heading off to visit various friends across the country. I hope everyone else is treating themselves well and enjoying the holiday season.

special guestin' on some student radio; graffiti on my walk to uni; one of many hungover fry-ups

spooky Hallowe'en party treats; I'm a mouse, duh

I've been back at uni for nearly 7 weeks now (how is that possible?) and I've forgotten to Instagram nearly anything of interest that happened. Of course. Being back here, I tend to get sucked into busy days and seeing friends and forget about anything else. Here are a few snippets of what I've been up to, including a lot of Hallowe'en pictures. We had a house party, complete with amazing homemade Hallowe'en treats. I went as Karen 'I'm a mouse, duh' from Mean Girls. Now I'm pretty bummed Hallowe'en's over now for another year. I guess there's always Christmas festivities though...

breakfast outdoors is my summertime favourite; wine after a long journey; how I'm spending my summer, basically

feast time with one of my favourite ladies; a new furry friend; fry-ups are a hangover's best friend

unpacking is the worst part of moving; selfies game is on point; more outdoor dining, you know how I do

I've just moved home for the summer so my life of late has mostly consisted of unpacking the ridiculous amounts of stuff I somehow own, watching a lot of TV in my pajamas at midday, and eating. A lot of eating. I always find when I'm home and bored, food becomes the central focus of my life. I live for food, even more than I usually do. Lunch is the highlight of my day. It's okay though, I've been watching a lot of documentaries too. My life hasn't become totally meaningless and dull. Louis Theroux and I are like that, y'know.

table seat all to myself? don't mind if I do; cocktails and good food at Dim T; chilling in the cheap-seats at Victoria Palace Theatre

I regret not buying this t-shirt; Oxford Street Topshop at 9am is a ghost town; I need this flask in my life

admiring the Lola's cupcake stand in Topshop; made a few cheeky purchases; blingy new phone case was waiting for me when I got home

It's been an interesting week. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday in London, visiting a friend, eating food, going to see a West End show (Billy Elliott, for anyone wondering), and shopping a lot. The latter half of my week has been less relaxed since I'm working 25 hours over 4 days. Why do I do these things to myself? There'll be a blog post of my London purchases when I have time but y'know, exams, jobs, drinking in the sun. They all get in the way. I can't even remember the last time I was home except to sleep. Definitely got that end of the academic year feeling. Can I just be on a sunny beach somewhere please?

amazing badges from Modern Girl Blitz; breaking out the Docs for rainy days; starting off winter break as I mean to go on

presents from my favourite ladies; feelin' Christmassy back at my mum's house; fell in love here while in Paris

shattered remains of my beloved Anastasia brow powder; wearing an incredible Missguided dress for NYE; ginger chicken udon forever

It's been a while since my last Instagram post. I tend to go through spates where I use it a lot, and then not so much for a while. I always end up using the same couple of filters anyway, oops. (Amaro is my love) These are some pictures from the last month (ish). I could be all nostalgic and go on about how these are representations of my last month of 2012 or something but I'd rather not. It'll get all sentimental and I'll talk about how great my year was and no one wants to see that.

You can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram to see more pictures of my life (but mostly I just post shots of food and the odd selfie, sahrry).

my face, casual; lunch at The Waffle House, Norwich; hazelnut latte perfection

wining and dining for a friend's 21st; even No7 Stay Perfect nail polish chips on my nails; Rocky Road sundae time
mumsy bought me Alexys for Christmas; trademark lipstick marks everywhere; chuffed with my new initial necklace from Primark

I mentioned a few posts back that I'd finally traded in my Blackberry for an iPhone, so of course I've been being an obnoxious asshole and Instagramming everything. I'm not sure if I'll do the whole 'Week in Instagram' thing that a lot of people do, maybe occasionally. My life isn't that exciting guys, soz.

Plus, if you follow me on Twitter, you'll see all these pictures anyway and that could get repetitive.
