Prague was wonderful. It is now definitely one of my favourite European cities, after Berlin and London. It basically has everything going for it. Beautiful? Definitely. Lots to do? Tons. Cheap? Ridiculously so. I would highly, highly recommend it as a place to visit. The Czech language is a bit difficult to attempt, but it's worth a go so you don't sound like a total bimbling tourist idiot (even if you look like one, with your 'Top 10 of Prague' map hanging out of your pocket). I would absolutely go back. We didn't manage to see the Kafka Museum or the National Museum, plus the night life is worth it in itself.
I nearly didn't make it there. When we arrived at the airport, I opened my bag and realised I'd left my passport at home. Who does that? This girl, apparently. I take back every time I laughed when my parents asked me 'Do you have your passport?' before leaving the house. Cue frantic phone calls back home and a very expensive taxi to bring the bloody thing to me. I made it. Just. It arrived half an hour before check-in for my flight closed. Tip: Always check, double check and then triple check, just to be safe, that you brought your passport with you.
These photos are beautiful and giving me serious wanderlust - what kind of camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to make it there at some point - and o m g worst fear ever, re: passport. I once had to run to the plane once because i missed the check in for my flight despite being an hour early (it never came up on the screen!!!)
I'd actually borrowed my sister's little Kodak Easyshare point & shoot for Prague, as I was concerned about travelling with my DSLR. It's not a bad little camera but I did do a fair bit of touching up in Photoshop to boost the colours a tad.
DeleteI found your blog through the "Morticia" post. Hehe. I really like your blog, it's cute and simple. The pics are beautiful btw and that pizza looks so good right now!! <3
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great day!
